Who We Are
Purpose Contracting Asphalt is a family-owned, majority woman-owned asphalt paving company based in Muskego, Wisconsin. Founded in 1994, we have spent over 30 years building driveways, parking lots, and commercial surfaces across Southeastern Wisconsin — one job at a time, done right.
Katie Morawski, the majority owner, and Chris Morawski lead a crew with decades of hands-on paving experience on every project. We are not a call center, a franchise, or a short-term operation. When you call us, you reach us. When we show up, we finish the job.
Fully Licensed, Insured & Credentialed
We believe you should never have to take a contractor's word for it. Every license, registration, trademark, and insurance certificate we hold is documented below — real paperwork from real government agencies. Our Story
Purpose Contracting Asphalt began with a setback that turned into something much bigger. After losing his job, Randy Larson decided to build something of his own. He started small with a lawn mower and a Toyota pickup truck, taking on landscaping work across southeastern Wisconsin. What began as a way to make a living quickly became something more meaningful — a chance to create work, build relationships, and do things the right way.
The shift into asphalt happened almost by accident. During a stretch of tough drought years, landscaping work slowed down. Customers started asking Randy and his crew to patch the asphalt instead. They got good at it. Then one day, after finishing a driveway patch in Franklin, a homeowner pulled Randy aside and said his neighbor wanted a whole new driveway installed.
There was just one problem: they didn’t own a paver. Randy bought a used machine and got to work. That first full driveway led to another, and another. Before long, he was in the asphalt paving business for good.
As the work grew, so did the team. Early on, Randy hired people he trusted and who worked well together — starting with Herardo, who walked up to him at a Goodyear store after overhearing a phone call about a job. Herardo’s brother Raymond, and sister Maria soon joined. Years later, a determined young man named Suri Catalan kept showing up at Randy’s door asking for a chance. Randy gave him one, and several members of Suri’s family eventually became part of the company too.
Randy has always believed the best teams aren’t built on résumés alone. He looked for people with good chemistry — the kind who could trust each other and take pride in the work. That same belief in people and relationships shaped everything else.
Some of the company’s earliest customers became more than just clients. Randy still remembers the kindness of Pastor Jim Thelen and his wife Kristen, and Jim and Audrey Stewart, who treated him like family. Those early relationships taught him that good work and genuine care create something lasting — referrals, reputation, and trust that no marketing budget can buy.
Over the years, Purpose Contracting grew from a one-man operation into a full asphalt paving company with crews, equipment, and a reputation for doing the job correctly. Randy invested in better machines as the work demanded it. He learned hard lessons about protecting the business and the team — like making sure payment terms are clear from the start. He also watched how some contractors cut corners and made a deliberate choice: Purpose Contracting would be known for doing things the right way, even when it was harder.
What started with a lawn mower and a pickup truck became a company built on purpose. Not just the purpose of paving driveways and parking lots, but the deeper purpose of creating opportunity, building something that lasts, and treating customers and employees like they matter.
Today, more than thirty years later, we’re still that same family-oriented company. We’re hands-on, we stand behind our work, and we believe the best advertising is still a driveway done right and a customer who feels respected.
Whether you need a new driveway, asphalt repair, sealcoating, or a commercial parking lot, you’re not just hiring a paving crew. You’re working with people who care about doing it properly — because that’s how this company was built from the very beginning.

If you’re planning an asphalt project and want it done correctly, we’d be happy to take a look.
Meet the Family

Meet Logan Morawski (Age 5)
Logan is five years old and already has big opinions about his dad’s work. When asked what Daddy does, he says he works with “mechanic stuff” in the garage. He likes coming to the shop and thinks the big trucks are pretty cool — especially the “monster trucks.”
Logan says he misses his dad when he goes to work, but his favorite thing is "playing building caterpillars" game with his dad and twin sister Alexis." He thinks Purpose Contracting Asphalt will be “big and successful” one day, and when he grows up, he wants to work for Daddy’s company and do the same job. For now, though, his dream job is to become a beekeeper.
Meet Alexis Morawski (Age 5)
Alexis is five years old and has a clear idea of what her dad does — he “builds the roads.” She likes coming to the shop and says her favorite thing about daddy is playing games together. When he goes to work, she misses him, but she still thinks his business will be big and successful one day.
Alexis says she wants to work for her dad’s company when she grows up. For now, though, her dream is to become a police officer.
She’s also full of big questions. Before bed, she’s been known to ask things like, “Why is grass green?” and “Why is the sky blue if it reflects off the water, but the water is blue because it reflects off the sky?”

Meet Landon Morawski (6 months)
The newest member of the Morawski family. He says, "Ahhh-goooo… da-da-da… bbbbpppttt… ah-KA!
Dadadadada… mmmbahhh… GOO!
Big noise man. Pick me up. Face close. Smile.
You smell weird. I like it.
Why your hands so rough? I chew them.
Truck sounds? Daddy sounds.
Daddy gone… daddy back… daddy back GOOD.
AHHH-KOO-KOO-KA-KA!
I don’t know what asphalt is, but I know you.
You’re mine.”

Meet Katie Morawski, Co-Owner & Pharmacist
Katie Morawski is the steady voice behind Purpose Contracting Asphalt. While she’s not onsite in the day-to-day operations — she works full-time as a pharmacist — she has a front-row seat to everything it takes to run the business. The same company has employed her since she was 16 years old. She went from cashier to pharmacist, all the while completing 9 years of college. She is going on 23 straight years. Chris says, "I don't know how she does it, but I've never met a more Grounded and committed person."
When Chris first told her he wanted to buy the company, her answer was an immediate and honest “No.” What worried her most wasn’t the work itself, but the risk it could pose to their family and everything they had built. Over time, as she saw how much Chris had learned about the business and how much potential there was to build something that would make a difference in this world, that “no” gradually turned into “let’s give it a shot.”
Today, Katie’s role is one of quiet but essential support. She sees the early mornings, the late-night bids, the weather checks, the crew coordination, and the constant phone calls. She understands the dedication it takes to deliver quality work — and the personal toll it can take when the job never really ends. While Chris is often managing the job site or doing complicated calculations, Katie holds down the home front, the twins, and the newborn. She is the foundation of the routines that keep everything running.
She's proud to be part of a family-owned business and committed to the persistence and problem-solving it takes to grow it. Katie sees the toughest jobs, sees the problem-solving happen in real time, and celebrates the triumphs. Those wins aren't just business to her—they're proof that the risk they took together is paying off. proof that the long hours and late-night bids are building something real for their family, employees, and customers. What she's most proud of is their ability to keep pushing forward, even when things get difficult, and to find a way when most people would give up.
Looking ahead, Katie sees a future where the company continues to grow. More than anything, she wants to build a business that runs itself, a business that delivers quality while she can build stronger family bonds. She dreams that one day, if any of their children want it, the company could be something they carry forward together. When people learn about Purpose Contracting Asphalt, Katie wants them to know: we're a family. We're a dedicated business. We show up. We do the work right. We're fair in price. We're honest. And at the end of the day, after all of it, we get to go home to our children. That's what matters most in life, family.
Meet Christopher Morawski, Co-Owner
Christopher Morawski is the on-the-job, day-to-day co-owner of Purpose Contracting Asphalt. His path to owning the company was not a traditional one. After working in construction trades for many years and after three years of running the daily operations, Chris took over the business in 2024.
Chris focused on proving to vendors and suppliers that this new beginning for Purpose would be a golden age of quality and dependability. All the Vendors rallied behind him. He invested heavily in equipment repair and creating systems that would support long-term growth. His approach has always been straightforward: show up, keep your word, and do the work right. Today, Purpose Contracting Asphalt is growing fast and strong, with over 20+ employees and counting.
Chris believes that running a paving company is about more than laying asphalt. He is committed to helping homeowners and businesses make informed decisions. Through the Purpose Contracting Asphalt Academy, he has built a library of educational resources focused on asphalt costs, proper installation practices, contractor selection, and how to avoid common pitfalls. His goal is to give property owners the knowledge they need to protect their investments.
Integrity is central to how Chris operates the business. He is known for being transparent about pricing and for prioritizing quality and fairness over maximizing profit on every job. This philosophy extends to how the company treats its customers and its team.
As a family-owned business, Purpose Contracting Asphalt reflects Chris’s belief in building something lasting. He is focused on growing the company responsibly while creating a foundation that could one day be passed on to the next generation. Chris works alongside a dedicated crew and remains hands-on in both operations and the strategic direction of the business.
Under Chris's leadership, Purpose Contracting has taken the initiative in combating asphalt scams directly. He has worked with local news outlets and authorities to educate the public and dismantle scammer networks. He has even taken charge of helping homeowners affected by scams by providing them with repairs at cost due to fraudulent work.
When customers choose Purpose Contracting Asphalt, Chris wants them to feel confident that they are working with a company that values quality workmanship, clear communication, and doing what’s right — even when it’s not the easiest path.
