Accessibility Statement

Measures we take

We are a small, owner-operated contractor, so our approach is practical rather than bureaucratic. We:

• Build pages with semantic headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate them in order;
• Write descriptive alternative text for project photographs and functional images;
• Keep every control reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus outline;
• Check text and background color combinations for sufficient contrast, including our gold on dark treatment;
• Honor the reduced-motion setting in your browser or operating system, so hover growth and slide animations are turned off if you have asked for less motion;
• Label every form field, and report form errors in text rather than by color alone;
• Review accessibility whenever we add or rebuild a page, not only at launch; and
• Treat accessibility feedback from customers as a defect to fix, not a suggestion.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for making content accessible to people with a wide range of abilities. WCAG 2.2 has three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

www.purposecontractingasphalt.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means most of the site meets the standard, but some content does not yet fully conform. We are working through the remaining items.

Known limitations

We would rather tell you where the gaps are than claim there are none:

• Project photographs. Our galleries contain several hundred job photos. Newer images have descriptive alternative text; some older ones carry only a general description.
• Third-party content. Our interactive service map and embedded third-party content are supplied by outside providers, and we do not control their accessibility.
• Documents. PDFs and proposals sent outside the website may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will provide the information in another format.
• Frequent updates. We add pages and photos regularly, and a new addition can occasionally miss something. We review after changes, and we fix what gets reported.

Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology

This site is designed to work with current browsers, operating systems, and devices, and is intended to be compatible with:

• Screen readers
• Text-to-speech software
• Screen magnification
• Keyboard-only navigation
• Browser and operating system reduced-motion settings

The site may not perform as expected on outdated browsers, unsupported operating systems, or legacy devices.

Accessibility on this site relies on the following technologies working with your browser and any assistive technology you use:

• HTML
• CSS
• JavaScript
• WAI-ARIA attributes where native HTML is not sufficient

• Internal self-evaluation during design and build
• Keyboard-only and screen reader spot checks on new and rebuilt pages

We aim to respond to accessibility inquiries within two business days.

Formal complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may submit a formal accessibility complaint by email to Offices@purposecontracting.com with Accessibility Complaint in the subject line. We will acknowledge it and give you a written response.
